Summer Day Camp
Parents, Welcome to Our Site!
We are so happy to find you here at our site. Camp Tipton has many ministries, but of those our number one priority is our summer day camps. Everything else we do supports our ability to provide a safe and inexpensive place for your children during the summer. We are a non-profit organization, but that’s only part of why we can keep our prices low.
We also sponsor mission teams from all over the Southeast who come to repair homes for elderly and low income families in your community, help out with providing comfort services to tourists and locals at sites like the Dragon, Great Smoky Mountain National Park, and throughout the community in places like Western Heights, Lost Sheep Bridge Ministries, and other places where people need a hand, and of course, those teams lend a hand at our summer camps, too. You should know that in addition to being here to help, these mission teams pay their own way and more. Much of the income they provide goes directly to support the day camp.
As you can imagine, it costs a lot to keep Camp Tipton running. There are utilities, maintenance costs, wages for staff (most of whom work as volunteers and are given a small stipend to live on), fuel expenses, vehicle repairs, insurance, supplies, etc. You might be amazed at how much something as simple as keeping the grass mowed costs! Not only are we working hard to make camp a fun and educational place, we work hard to fund the process so your cost remains low.
We want you to feel good about sending your kids to Camp Tipton. Perhaps by realizing how much we do year round to be ready for summer will help you understand that we are dedicated to your children, they are the main reason we are here. Our sincerest desire is to help you bring your kids up with character and great self-esteem, and to introduce them to Biblical principles, all while having a great time with other kids.
Please help us spread the word about Camp Tipton. The more kids we see each year, the more we feel encouraged that we are providing a needed service.
